Two New Leaders At Franklin Firm

Echo Therapeutics, a Franklin-based medical device company, is adding to its executive team.

John Garibotto and Kenneth Gary have joined the company after long careers in the medical device sector to help accelerate development of Echo's Symphony System, which is a non-invasive glucose monitoring device.

Garibotto joins the company as vice president of operations. He most recently helped found Bedford-based Insulet Corp. and served as the company's vice president of research and development and engineering. He has a bachelor's in industrial technology from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Gary will join Echo as vice president of research. His career includes a stint as R&D venture director for Abbott Diabetes Care. He has a bachelor's and a master's from Columbia University and an MBA from Boston University.
