Movers & Shakers

United Bank, with offices in Worcester, hired DONNA GEORGE-EBBELING of Springfield as senior vice president and chief credit officer. She most recently worked for People’s United Bank. George-Ebbeling has an MBA in finance from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a bachelor¹s degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut.

RENEE SMITH has been hired as director of the new Bayada Nurses office in Worcester. She most recently served as quality improvement and reimbursement manager for a hospital-based home health care agency in Connecticut. 

Worcester-based medical device company Grove Instruments Inc. has named DAVID HARLAN to the company’s scientific advisory board. Harlan has practiced as a clinical and research diabetologist/endocrinologist for more than 20 years. He is chief of the diabetes division at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Worcester-based Commerce Bank named JAMES HOW, LAILA MHIRIG, AMANDA MISILO, BETTE O’REILLY and DAVID ROSE managers. How will head the Shrewsbury office. He has an MBA from Endicott College in Beverly. Mhirig is manager of the Holden office, where she has served as assistant branch manager since 2003. Misilo is assistant vice president and manager of the Grafton Street office in Worcester. She most recently served as manager of the bank’s Holden office. O’Reilly is manager of the Westborough office. She earned a master’s degree from Lasell College in Newton. Rose is manager of the Marlborough office. He has a master’s from the New England Conservatory of Music.

Boxborough-based Egenera hired CHRIS CLEARY and promoted PERRY TRACH. Cleary is vice president of worldwide channel sales and partner development. He was previously a senior director at Fortinet. Cleary graduated from William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. Trach, previously vice president of Northeast sales, is now vice president of North America sales. He has a bachelor’s degree from Barry University in Miami and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.

Fitchburg-based Rollstone Bank & Trust hired MELISSA MARANDA as senior vice president and trust officer of the bank’s wealth management division. She was most recently employed by the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts. Maranda has a law degree from the University of New Hampshire, in Concord. She lives in Fitchburg.

Westborough-based Conservation Services Group hired CINDY JOHNSON and LISA M. LUDWIG. Johnson is vice president of marketing and communications and Ludwig is vice president of strategic initiatives. Johnson most recently worked as a consultant. She has a bachelor’s from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Ludwig previously worked for Ambient Corp. She has a bachelor’s in computer science from Merrimack College in North Andover.

Shirley-based Fidelity Bank hired JEFFREY G. PERKINS as vice president/home loan specialist. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Perkins lives in West Boylston.
