Medical device manufacturer Grove Instruments of Worcester has been granted a federal patent that it said will further protect its core glucose measurement technology to aid diabetics, the company announced today.
Similar action has already taken place in China and the company said it's awaiting approval from other countries. "This approval is key to protecting our core technology and methods here in the U.S.," said Arthur Combs, Grove's CEO.
Grove is privately held. Last December, it closed a $6 million offering of preferred stock that attracted more investors than the company was seeking.
