U.S. Trade Deficit Grew In March

The U.S. trade deficit rose to $51.8 billion in March, up from a revised figure of $45.4 billion for February, according to the Census Bureau and Bureau of Economic Analysis.

The nation exported $186.8 billion in goods and services in March, while its imports totaled $238.6 billion.

Both imports and exports increased over the month. The country brought in more capital goods, consumer goods, industrial supplies and materials, and cars and car parts. It also exported more industrial supplies and capital goods.
