Massachusetts lawmakers are contemplating whether the state's minimum wage, now $8 an hour and among the highest of the 50 states, should be higher. Proponents argue that raising it – possibly to $10 or $11 – would help boost the income of the state's working poor. Opponents, especially business groups, say it would hurt the ability of small businesses to grow jobs at a time when the state is trying to increase employment and lower the jobless rate. So, our Flash Poll question of the week is:
What should lawmakers do with the state’s minimum hourly wage?
