A report released last week by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative said the Bay State still ranks as one of the most productive states in the “innovation” industries, which include life sciences, software design and health care. But the report also came with a warning: Massachusetts is spending less per student on higher education funding, meaning that, in the long run, we could be in danger of falling behind the other states that support higher ed with more robust funding and have a high concentration of innovation jobs. So, in this week's Flash Poll, we ask you:
Should Massachusetts spend more on its public colleges to help maintain the state's high level of output from “innovation” jobs?
