Dr. Warren J. Ferguson has been honored by the Worcester District Medical Society as Community Clinician of the Year. He will receive the award at the district's annual meeting April 13. Ferguson is vice chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Medical School, a professor in the department and medical director of the school's Massachusetts Area Health Education Centers Network. He lives in Shrewsbury.
SpencerBANK honored 13 employees with Length of Service Awards at a dinner in West Brookfield: Winifred Johnson, five years; Patricia Cardinale, 15 years; Sheryle Gaudette, 40 years; Nicole Rawlston, five years; tephanie Girouard, 10 years; Nancy Wilbur, 10 years; Paul Buonopane, five years; Sara Seaver, five years; Kyle Bourque, five years; and Melissa Inzerillo, 10 years; Kelly Mullen; Michael Pacheco; and Michael Quink.
Yummy Steakhouse was given second place in the Judge's Choice category of the Worcester's Best Chef competition. The restaurant opened last fall on Grafton Street and is owned by Ken Zhang and Jacky Chen.
Terry Riley, the athletic director at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, was chosen for a Massachusetts Women in Athletics Distinguished Service Award, sponsored by the Massachusetts Interscholatic Athletic Association and the New Agenda: Northeast. Riley is herself a graduate of the Marlborough school.
Managed-IT services company Bryley Systems Inc. was named to the 2016 Managed Service Provider 500 list in the MSP Pioneer 250 category by CRN, a brand of The Channel Company. Bryley is based in Hudson.
