Dubbed the city’s Minister of Fun by Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO Timothy Murray, Finlay is a tireless advocate for BlueHive and Worcester County. Arriving from Ireland in 2013, Finlay joined BlueHive to kick off its digital revolution and eventually a new division: BlueHive Media, offering video, social media and website management.

Finlay will publish first book, “Chasing the Western Horizon: An Irishman’s View of America” next year.

What is your most significant professional goal? Corny answer, but I believe that is yet to come. Every day is building on the previous, and that’s where the magic is made.

What is your advice to young business people? Believe in your dreams, shoot straight and never give up.

What is the first impression of you want leave with business contacts? Intrigue. So many faces come and go, make sure that everyone you meet is treated courteously, and when you depart, they want to know more.

Why do you work in Central Massachusetts? It’s the up-and-coming place to be. Follow the excitement and ingenuity, and you’ll always be inspired. There’s nowhere else like it.
