Emuge opens new West Boylston tech center

Courtesy Emuge's new technology center is designed as a place where companies can test machining concepts and tools without tying up their own manufacturing time.

Emuge Corp., a manufacturer of precision cutting tools, last week announced the opening of a new technology center at its 21,000-square-foot West Boylston facility.

The full-service center, which will serve customers in the U.S. and Canada, is designed as a place where companies can test machining concepts and tools without tying up their own manufacturing time, according to Emuge. At the facility, tooling engineers will work directly with customers to replicate machining processes and develop new tooling and application parameters.

The center is equipped with the latest 3 and 5-axis vertical machining centers, precision measuring devices, and tool monitoring, according to the company. Major services offered include test cuts, CNC programming assistance and comprehensive training. There is also an interactive classroom for training and seminars supported by CNC machining equipment. Complete tool reconditioning services are also available at the facility.

Emuge Corp. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMUGE-Werk Richard Gllmpel GmbH & Co, a German company with more than 1,500 employees. The West Boylston facility serves as the company’s U.S. and Canadian headquarters and has more than 10,000 types of cutting tools and accessories in stock.
