Simonds Saw names new president

David Miles has been named president of Simonds Saw in Fitchburg.
The board of directors of Simonds Saw, a Fitchburg company that makes metal cutting saw and file products, has named David Miles as its new president, according to a statement released Tuesday.
Miles’ appointment was effective Jan. 1.
Miles has served as vice president of sales and marketing for Simonds International, the sister company of Simonds Saw, since 2011. In 2014, Simonds Saw was formed as a separate company under the same management team.
MIles succeeds Ray Martino as president of Simonds Saw. Martino continues to serve as CEO of Simonds Saw, and president and CEO of Simonds International.
He has 27 years of experience in sales and marketing, with working knowledge of the industrial markets in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, according to Simonds.
