Manufacturing executive Lavon Winkler has been named president of Spencer adhesive manufacturer FLEXcon.

Winkler took over the role of president from Neil McDonough, who will remain the company’s CEO and serve as chairman of FLEXcon Holdings. McDonough’s father, Myles, founded FLEXcon in 1956.

A major goal of Winkler’s new role will be to continue to make career development at FLEXcon strong. He will also help fuel the company’s growth, prepare the third generation of the McDonough family for leadership, and grow the company’s core business as well as emerging technologies.

Winkler has more than 30 years of executive-level experience across several industries. He served CEO of Kansas City socket manufacturer Milbank for 11 years, spent a year as president and CEO of Kansas industry advocate Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center, and worked as president and COO at Kansas City concrete construction firm Western Forms for two years.
