Leicester IT firm expands into Conn. with acquisition
ClearCom IT Solutions, Inc., a Leicester information-technology company, has bought a Putnam, Conn., firm for an undisclosed amount, it announced Wednesday.
ClearCom bought MBS Network Services, a one-person operation whose owner, Mark Barrett, has been hired at ClearCom as a project manager, said Rob Cleary, the ClearCom president. Barrett had been a subcontractor for ClearCom for several years.
The Leicester company, which began in 2001, has 10 employees who provide help-desk support, network management and technology strategy planning.
Cleary said the acquisition of MBS Network Services fits into the company's plan for growth in the Connecticut area. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
