After $769M in 2017 sales, Northbridge realty firm merges with NY agency

ERA Key Realty Services of Northbridge, one of the 10 largest real estate offices in ERA's network, has merged with the second largest office in the network.

HUNT Real Estate ERA, which announced the merger Wednesday, serves areas in upstate New York, including Buffalo and Albany, as well as Phoenix, Ariz.. The combined company will have more than 50 offices and nearly 1,600 agents.

The offices will continue doing business under their existing names, and local management will remain in place.

ERA Key Realty has grown to include 15 offices in Central and Eastern Massachusetts and serves a market including parts of Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Last year, the group had an all-time high of $769 million in sales, it said last month.

Peter Hunt, chief executive officer of HUNT Real Estate ERA, said in a statement the two companies have shared values, but with distinct regional footprints.

HUNT's headquarters is in Depew, N.Y., just outside of Buffalo.
