The head of Central Massachusetts' largest commercial contractor – with $1.2 billion in 2017 revenue, 975 employees and seven offices along the East Coast – Anthony and brother Matthew are the fourth generation to lead the family-owned construction firm, founded in 1905. More than 150 Consigli employees live in Worcester County, including Anthony. The company has taken on huge projects in recent years, including the building of the new Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. and a $180-million, 218,000-square-foot complex at State University of New York at Albany. The Consigli Foundation has given away hundreds of grants to Central Mass. nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Nativity School of Worcester and Girls Inc.
What advice would you give up-and-comers? Whatever your career path is, make sure you do great work and not just good work, create raving fans of both coworkers and clients, and above all else, do what you say you are going to do.
But what was his costume? I attended a Halloween party at Dracula's castle in Transylvania.
