A 7.1-megawatt Winchendon solar farm developed and owned by three energy firms has been completed.

The project, called Happy Hollow Community Solar and Storage Farm, is owned by New Hampshire-based SunRaise Investments and was developed by California-based Borrego Solar. Washington D.C.-based CleanChoice Energy is managing subscriber services.

The companies say the project is the largest solar energy and storage project of its kind in the state.

The farm includes a 3.3-megawatt energy storage system and is expected to generate more than 9 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. That’s enough to power about 1,200 homes in Massachusetts each year.

The project is almost ready to begin taking subscribers, and those who do sign on can save up to 10 percent on their energy bills with no upfront costs.
