Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley

At the close of its legislative session in July the Massachusetts House and Senate overwhelmingly passed a landmark bill that seeks to cap the sharp rise in health care costs with a mix of preventative care and wellness programs, incentives, and a new payment system that rewards overall care rather than the current fee for service model. This new legislation, combined with the six year old Massachusetts’s health care reform act has reinforced our state’s role as a national leader and innovator in the health care arena.
