Investor Relations Salaries Remain High, Bonuses Cut

Salaries for corporate investor relations officers held steady between $126,000 and $150,000 throughout the recession, according to a survey conducted by Korn/Ferry International and the National Investor Relations Institute.

The survey found that investor relations officers made $100,000 at the low end of the scale and as much as $700,000. Forty-eight percent of Fortune 500 investor relations officers to respond to the survey make more than $225,000.

While salaries remained flat during the recession, 65 percent of respondents reported a reduction in bonuses. Still, 41 percent said they receive an annual cash bonus of more than $100,000.

The survey also found that investor relations budgets and staffing levels have remained flat.
