Tornadoes Sign Canseco
The Worcester Tornadoes have signed former Major League Baseball player and one-time Boston Red Sox Jose Canseco.
Canseco, 47, is the second former Major Leaguer to join the Tornadoes in their eight-season history. The team signed infielder Abraham Nunez, formerly of the Philadelphia Phillies, last year.
Canseco began his Major League career with the Oakland Athletics in 1985, played for the Red Sox in 1995 and 1996 and ended his time in the majors with the Chicago White Sox in 2001. He has admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs during his career.
