Two key measures of the Massachusetts housing market continued their upward climb in June, according to the state's Realtors' association.
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) said its Market Index, which measures member sentiment on the current market and future expectations, rose to 59.3 on a 100-point scale, up more than double over June 2011, marking 11 straight months of year-over-year increases. However, that was down slightly from the 60.38 reading in May.
The Price Index, came in at 60.06. That's down from a reading of 62.38 in May, but up 57 percent from June 2011. Despite the month-over-month drop, it's the first time the reading topped 60 for two straight months since the MAR began tracking the data.
