Career highlights: Managing two departments with MCU: branch manager for MCU's Auburn branch and managing MCU's student loan program and youth banking program. Developing a student loan market with Academic Finance Corporation from zero to $18 million in volume in four years.

Community involvement: In addition to coaching youth baseball and basketball early in my career, I recently have enjoyed educating students and parents on skills to help them manage their money. We go over everything from budgeting and balancing checking accounts to the best way to finance a college education. Also, I am a member of the Millbury Dollars For Scholars committee and the Auburn Chamber's Community Cleanup Day committee.

Biggest success: Developing a student loan program from $0 in 2009 to over $3.5 million through June 2012; developing student accounts for our young adults, and educating our high school and college students on financial literacy and money management. The feedback and results from these programs has been outstanding.

Biggest challenge: Starting my career over. From 2000-2008, I enjoyed marketing student loans to colleges and universities. After the credit crisis of 2008, I found myself without a job. In May 2009, I joined the MCU team and have enjoyed my experience building a banking career and new relationships.

Mentors: Dick Thomas here at MCU and Howard McGinn from my time at Fleet Bank and Academic Finance Corp. Both have mentored me in completely different ways, but they both share great leadership and business skills. Personally, my parents have always been examples of how to live life and treat people.

Hidden talent: My love of being a parent; every day is a unique and enjoyable experience.
