Westford-based tax consultant Steve Hoffman, “The Tax Translator,” completed the Million Dollar Consulting College in Newport, R.I. The college is run by author and speaker Alan Weiss.
Dr. Robert Yood, Reliant Medical Group's division chief of rheumatology and chairman of the board of trustees, won the Worcester District Medical Society Career Achievement Award from Worcester District Medical Society. Dr. Yood is also a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. He has been practicing medicine with Reliant since 1979.
Jay M. Presser, an attorney with Skoler, Abbott & Presser, with offices in Worcester, was named a Top Rated Lawyer in Labor & Employment by America Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell. Presser has been with the firm for 30 years.
Scott Cook, director of quality and compliance for Cogmedix of Worcester, was named president of the Society of Quality Assurance. Cogmedix is a division of the Coghlin Cos.
Paul Mulroy was named Broker of the Year by O'Brien Commercial Properties. In 2012, he closed 20 real estate and lease transactions, according to the Marlborough-based firm. Mulroy, the firm's vice president, has been with O'Brien for three years.
National wedding website WeddingWire awarded Sterling-based Audrey Cutler Photography its 2013 Brides' Choice Award winner for Massachusetts. Winners were chosen based on client reviews. The photography business is owned by Audrey and Cody Cutler.
Acton-based SeaChange International won a Technology & Engineering Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. SeaChange won for its “development and commercialization for digital infrastructure for local cable ad insertion.”
