Cambrooke Foods Announces Name Change

The company's new logo

Ayer-based Cambrooke Foods, which provides medically appropriate foods to people with metabolic disorders, announced Wednesday it has formally changed its name to Cambrooke Therapeutics.

The change is intended to illustrate Cambrooke’s broader focus as it attempts to create additional food products suitable for people with genetic protein digestion disorders like phenylketonuria (PKU) or maple syrup urine disease.

“As leading experts in the field of medical nutrition, we see increasing demand for therapeutic options for targeted patient populations,” Cambrooke CEO Marc Tewey said in a statement. “Our skill and expertise in working with researchers, physicians and patients will enable us to drive the development of an expanded pipeline of medical nutrition products for a variety of conditions that will improve patients’ lives.”

Cambrooke said it plans to partner with academic research facilities to create and test new food possibilities.

The company’s new website is www.cambrooketherapeutics.com.
