Spencer Firm Begins Selling Vinyl Chalkboard

Spencer-based FLEXcon has begun selling a mountable vinyl product that turns walls into chalkboards, the company announced Wednesday.

The adhesive coating and laminating company said the WALLdeco chalkboard is intended for companies looking to write and modify personalized messages inside their stores. The vinyl chalkboard can be die-cut into shapes and removed from walls or menu boards clearly for up to six months, the company said.

“Localization is a growing trend among retailers looking to differentiate from standardized branding techniques to make a more personalized connection with their customers,” said Dennis Brunnett, FLEXcon’s product manager. “This requires materials that can be customized and adapted on the fly.”

Pricing for the vinyl chalkboard varies based on the volume and format of purchase, according to Brunnett.
