Hudson's ResTech acquires 2nd Conn. firm

Hudson-based ResTech Plastic Molding has announced the acquisition of a Glastonbury, Conn., company.

In a statement, ResTech said its purchase of 30-year-old Northeast Mold & Plastics Inc. is due to ResTech’s “continuing efforts to promote American manufacturing and capability, create desirable jobs in local communities, and provide a broad range of services to our valued customers.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In the statement, ResTech CEO George Danis said the Connecticut injection molding company was the “perfect complement” to his firm because of its mission to exceed “customer expectations in all areas of plastic molding and support.”

In April, ResTech acquired TechAtlantic, of Berlin, Conn., and Danis said his company will combine it with the Glastonbury operation to form North East Mold & Plastics Division of ResTech Plastic Molding.

The organization will have combined 33 machines, in sizes from 33 to 500 tons, Danis said.

“The addition of this ISO 9001 registered company ... means that the ResTech Plastic Molding family of companies can satisfy the most demanding plastic molding requirements of almost any customer, no matter what the industry, and can do so quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively,” Danis said.
