A cocktail with your groceries? Readers say 'Sure!'
Wegmans wants to serve alcohol in its supermarket in Northborough, but that's not sitting well with small businesses near the site and across the state. A bill now before the state Legislature could allow Wegmans to serve alcohol in its 300-seat restaurant. While many supermarkets today also have small cafes, there is concern that passage of such a bill could impact small, local restaurants and liquor stores. But according to last week's Flash Poll, most readers like the idea.
