BRIAN CURRAN and ROBERT W. DEJADON were named vice presidents at N.B. Kenney Co. Inc., a mechanical contracting company in Devens. Curran, the firm's chief estimator for the past seven years, was promoted to vice president of sales. Dejadon recently rejoined the firm as vice president of special projects. He has 35 years in the construction management industry.
MATT WOJNAROWICZ was named information technology services manager at Competitive Edge Services, an IT consulting firm in Westborough. He was most recently director of information services.
BARRY M. MALONEY, president of Worcester State University, was appointed one of four representatives of Division III colleges nationwide to the Committee on Women's Athletics for the National Collegiate Athletic Association. He will help make policy recommendations regarding opportunities for women in athletics.
DAVID McCABE and DAVID NICHOLSON were hired by Marlborough Savings Bank as vice presidents of commercial lending. McCabe, a resident and native of Marlborough, previously worked in various roles at RBS Citizens Bank. Nicholson, of Westborough, previously worked at Fleet and TD banks, among others, in business banking, middle market and corporate positions.
STEVE MASTALERZ was hired by Worcester-based Bay State Savings Bank as a mortgage officer. He was most recently a mortgage loan officer with TD Bank in Burlington. Mastalerz has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
MARINA GROSS was hired as a sales and leasing associate by Framingham-based Parsons Commercial Group Inc. She has previously worked for Johnson & Johnson, IBM and Coldwell Banker.
COLIN WHITE was promoted to a newly created position — chief scientific officer — at Natick-based Parcell Laboratories Inc., which develops therapeutics based on stem cell technology. He previously served as a pathology instructor at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and at Harvard Medical School.
RYAN O'HEARN was hired as assistant vice president and store manager of TD Bank in Auburn. The Webster resident was previously Shrewsbury branch manager of Citizens Bank.
DAVID N. GRENIER and FRANCIS SABA were elected to the board of The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts. Grenier is a managing member and portfolio manager at Cutler Capital Management in Worcester. Saba is president and CEO of Milford Regional Medical Center. The board re-elected John P. Gusha as chairman; Jeffrey W. Hillis as treasurer; and Dr. Lynda M. Young as secretary. Re-elected to three-year terms were Deborah L. Plummer and Ann K. Tripp.
KATHLEEN M. KIRBY, JULIE CROWLEY, JACQUELINE BELROSE and DENNIS R. BUNNELL were appointed to a Mount Wachusett Community College leadership team on a project to expand career opportunities in advanced manufacturing. The $15.9-million project is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. MWCC, in Gardner is the main partner in the effort. Kirby was named national consortium project manager; Crowley regional consortium project manager; Belrose the project's national director; and Bunnell the project's industry consultant.
KATHY DEMEYER was promoted to general manager of Encore Construction Co. Inc., a home construction firm with offices in Sudbury and Dennisport. She has been a member of the Encore team since 2003, beginning as production manager in Dennisport, then as Sudbury operations manager in 2011.
ANNA SMARRA and CARLY GOULD were hired, DENISE BATES promoted, and LISA A. PIEHLER named to the board of directors of Millbury Federal Credit Union. Smarra is the credit union's new human resource manager. She most recently worked as director of human resources and payroll at Essex Group Management, West Side House, in Worcester. An Oxford resident, she's a graduate of Nichols College. Gould and Bates are now branch managers and assistant treasurers. Gould most recently worked as a personal banker at Bank of America. She's a graduate of Becker College and lives in Worcester. Bates was most recently the credit union's assistant branch manager. A resident of Charlton, she is a graduate of Manchester Community College in Manchester, Conn. Piehler is regional chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts. She had served on the credit union's supervisory committee.
BILL RYAN of the Acton-based Discovery Museums was named chairman of its board of directors. A member of the board since 2010, he's the retired superintendent of the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Notre Dame University and a master's in education from Boston University. A resident of Maynard, Ryan replaces Lees Stuntz, who is stepping down as chairman but will remain on the board.
DR. JEROAN J. ALLISON and ROBERT M. WILLIAMSON were elected to three-year terms on the board of directors of Spectrum Health Systems in Worcester. Dr. Allison is professor and vice chair of the department of quantitative health sciences at UMass Medical School in Worcester. Williamson is vice president of commercial lending at Avidia Bank, based in Hudson.
(Correction from March 3 edition) JAYME PROTANO was hired as director of South County Physical Therapy's Millbury location. She was a physical therapist at the practice's Auburn location for the past five years. Protano holds a degree in physical therapy from Northeastern University.
