DCU Center signs coffee pact with Honey Dew

The DCU Center has entered into an exclusive, multiyear coffee partnership with Plainville-Based Honey Dew Donuts.

SMG, which runs the DCU Center, said last week that Honey Dew’s House Blend coffee is now the sole coffee available at concession stands in the arena and convention center. The contract took effect in February and lasts until January 2017, according to DCU spokeswoman Amy Peterson.

Honey Dew will also be the only coffee served at the hundreds of banquets and privately catered events held at the DCU Center each year.

“We believe in local partnerships, great service and quality products,” said Sandy Dunn, the center’s general manager, in a statement.

Honey Dew was founded in Mansfield in 1973 and operates or franchises 145 donut and coffee shops throughout New England. It is independently owned and operated.
