Gas prices fall to lowest point of 2014

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down six cents from last week to their lowest point this year as prices at the pump continue to fall, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s latest survey of prices in Massachusetts, released Monday, found a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline averaging $3.32, down six cents from last week. The previous low for the year was $3.34, on Feb. 3.  Prices locally are down 13 cents over the last month. Also, the current price is three cents above the national average of $3.29.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 11 cents higher at $3.43.
