State officials also reported that SAT participation among Hispanic and African-American students increased this year, and that 80 percent of Massachusetts public high school students in the class of 2014 took the SAT in high school. Additionally, the state reported that participation by Massachusetts students in grades 9 through 12 in Advanced Placement exams rose by 7.5 percent in 2014.
