Seven Hills adds 10th affiliate

VSA Massachusetts of Boston has merged with the Integrated Health and Human Services Network of Worcester’s Seven Hills Foundation.

The new vice president of VSA, Charles J. Washburn, said of the Nov. 1 merger: “VSA Massachusetts has found a great deal of common ground with Seven Hills Foundation in recent years. We are excited by this affiliation and a singular opportunity to engage more people of all abilities in the arts, confront myths about ability, and help build a more inclusive community.”

VSA Massachusetts promotes the involvement of people of all abilities in the cultural lives of Bay State communities. The organization is part of an international network of VSA organizations serving 35 states and over 50 countries.  Formerly named Very Special Arts, the letters VSA now reflect the values of vision, strength, and artistic expression.

It becomes the tenth affiliate for Seven Hills, which from its Worcester headquarters offers program sites at 170 locations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island employing nearly 3,800 and providing services to 28,000 children, adults and seniors with disabilities and other life challenges through its affiliate organizations.
