Seven Hills teams with International Center of Worcester

The Seven Hills Foundation is affiliating with the International Center of Worcester, the agency announced Wednesday.

Seven Hills said the partnership will help it grow the practice of “citizen diplomacy,” fostering understanding and mutually beneficial relationships across cultures.

ICW, which designs professional and cultural programs for international visitors, becomes Seven Hills’ 11th affiliate. Housed at Clark University for more than 30 years, ICW serves visitors who are sponsored by local and foreign governmental and non-governmental agencies, private companies, universities and individuals.

“By affiliating with ICW, we will expand the practice of citizen diplomacy to embrace the strength of common humanity.” said Dr. David A. Jordan, President and CEO of Seven Hills Foundation. Seven Hills is based in Worcester and offers program sites at 160 locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for people with disabilities and other challenges.

Ashley Emerson Gilbert, currently the director of Seven Hills Global Outreach – an affiliate that fosters humans services partnerships in nine developing countries – will also become director of the ICW. She has been serving on the ICW board.
