Small businesses in Fitchburg, Leominster and Groton get NCMDC loans

Businesses in Fitchburg, Leominster and Groton recently received a total of $91,500 in small-business loans from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation (NCMDC).

Ken-Bon Display Services Inc. in Fitchburg, in business since 1931, received a $50,000 loan. The money will allow it to purchase or upgrade computer and other equipment, the statement said.

Workforce Training Solutions in Leominster obtained $16,500 to assist in the start-up of this new business, which will connect Massachusetts employers to strategic training providers with the help of a Massachusetts grant, the statement said.

NCMDC granted Bliss Bakery and Market Inc. in Groton a $25,000 loan, which will allow the bakery to expand its retail shop and its marketing efforts.

NCMDC said five new jobs have been created with the help of the loans.
