The towns and cities of Central Massachusetts have received $42.4 million in funding towards road projects from the state.

The state’s yearly release of Chapter 90 funds took place Tuesday, doling out more than $200 million to infrastructure projects statewide. Central Massachusetts is on the receiving end of $42,389,267 of those funds. The city of Worcester will receive over $4 million in funds for projects, Fitchburg will receive $1,127,480, Framingham will get $1,902,518 and Marlborough will receive $1,119,210.
