Zubretsky to get $1M a year at Hanover; matching Eppinger's salary

Courtesy The Hanover Insurance Group Joseph M. Zubretsky will take over as president and CEO of The Hanover Insurance Group beginning in June.

The new CEO and president of The Hanover Insurance Group, Joseph M. Zubretsky, will receive the same base pay as the outgoing Frederick Eppinger.

The SEC filing detailing Zubretsky’s pay was released earlier this week when the announcement of his new role was made. Zubretsky's annual base salary will be $1 million. If he meets yearly goals for the company, he is eligible for an additional $1.4 million yearly. His stock compensation for 2016 will total $3 million.

This mirrors the compensation for outgoing CEO and President Frederick Eppinger in base salary as well as incentive compensation, according to filings. His stock awards for 2015 were $2.7 million.
