A new report has found that Massachusetts is tenth in the nation for telecommuting jobs where employees can work remotely from anywhere.

The report by FlexJobs.com analyzed online job postings through their website for the last year. The top of the list did not change from 2014, with California, Texas, and New York taking the top three positions. However, Massachusetts displaced New Jersey as the tenth state with the highest number of telecommuting jobs. Example of Massachusetts companies advertising telecommuting jobs included Dell, McKinsey & Company, and CVS Health, according to FlexJobs.

Many of these jobs, however, still require proximity to the base of employment whether it is for in-person meetings, tax purposes for the state, or the company wanting an employee to live within a specific time zone.
