Antonio’s Pizza by the Slice has officially opened its $3 million, 180-seat restaurant in Worcester as the area chain continues to expand.

The new restaurant at 286 Chandler St. held a grand opening June 23. The Worcester location includes a call-ahead, drive-up pick-up window and was designed by Judd Brown Designs, Inc. and Jefferson Group Architects, Inc. with an open kitchen concept and outside dining.

“I was born in Worcester and my family has a long heritage in the area. Worcester is a big pizza town and the community has welcomed us with open arms,” Owner Bill Kitsilis said in a statement.

The company opened its first location in Amherst in 1991.
