Solect Energy completes 676-panel Norwood solar array

Hopkinton solar installer Solect Energy has completed a 175.8-kilowatt rooftop array at the headquarters of a Norwood company.
The installation of the 676 panels at Gaston Electrical Co., Inc., an electrical contracting company in Norwood, advances that company’s sustainable initiative. Since the installation in March, the panels have produced more than 92,000 kilowatt hours of solar energy on its 22,000 square foot roof. The company expects to see significant savings on electricity costs in its first year of production, according to Solect.
The cost of the installation was not disclosed.
