Keith Kirkland has been hired as a VP within Webster Five's business lending division.

Webster Five Cents Savings Bank announced Wednesday that Keith Kirkland has been hired as the newest vice president in the company's business lending division.

In his role as business lending officer and vice president, Kirkland will be responsible for the structuring and closing of business loans, developing new business, as well as maintaining and servicing the existing loan portfolio, according to the bank. Kirkland has 28 years of banking industry experience, most recently spending six years at Southbridge Savings Bank as vice president, commercial lender, where he grew and managed a $50-million commercial loan portfolio.

Kirkland received his bachelor's of science degree from UMass Amherst and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Bentley University. He is the treasurer of the Dudley Conservation Land Trust, a board member of the Janet Malser Humanities Trust and an investment committee member of the Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts.
