A Hopkinton company has raised over $1 million in venture capital to fund a market expansion.

The seed investment round for Connected2Fiber was led by Nauta Capital. The company’s product is a marketplace platform built for the telecom network industry. The cloud-based platform helps match telecom suppliers and buyers. Connected2Fiber's customers are primarily fiber-based network operators.

According to Ben Edmond, CEO of Connected2Fiber, the funding will allow the company to accelerate the build out of its Connected World Prediction Engine that includes machine learning algorithms.

Connected2Fiber is based in Hopkinton and was founded in 2015 by Edmond.
