A new Worcester Ecotarium exhibit that opened Tuesday morning features work by Central Massachusetts firms, according to a statement from FLEXcon of Spencer and ICL Imaging of Framingham, two of the contributors.

FLEXcon and ICL partnered to create a 60-foot cityscape mural within the City Science: The Science You Live exhibit, using donated materials from FLEXcon, the companies said. ICL used FLEXcon’s promotional advertising film to print a graphic highlighting iconic Worcester area buildings within the mural display.

The 2,500-square-foot City Science exhibit is located on the museum’s middle level and offers a “unique, hands-on investigation lab focused on urban science and ecology,” with the cityscape mural as the backdrop, according to a December statement from the Ecotarium, announcing the exhibit.

“Visitors are immersed into the urban environment through a variety of activities, including custom-designed computer challenges, live animal observations, hands-on engineering activities, games, and more,” the Ecotarium said.
