In advance of Super Bowl LI, personal finance website WalletHub has released its report on 2017’s best and worst cities for football fans, and no matter how you look at it, Worcester didn’t do so well.

WalletHub analyzed 244 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional football team based on 17 key metrics -- including average ticket prices and the number of NFL and teams -- and named Worcester 10th worst overall, and 46th out of 46 on the list of midsized cities.

Worcester ranked 165th for performance level of college football teams, 179th for college football stadium capacity, and 223rd for college football fan engagement.

WalletHub ranked Boston 5th on the overall list of cities, and 4th on the list of large cities. Providence came in at 147th overall and 29th on the list of midsized cities.
