Architecture and engineering firm DPS, which has U.S. headquarters in Framingham, has promoted Aidan O’Dwyer to the role of president of U.S. project operations, life sciences division.

O’Dwyer will also join the company’s board of directors.

O’Dwyer, who has 22 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, joined DPS in 2005 as a construction manager, and later served as a senior project manager, where he was responsible for the delivery of capital projects worth between $10 million and $100 million for major pharmaceutical clients across Ireland, the U.K., and mainland Europe.

Most recently, he served as senior vice president of operations for DPS in Framingham, following the firm’s acquisition of BioMetics. There, he helped expand the Framingham portfolio and was instrumental in helping grow the team from 11 employees to 130.
