Shrewsbury selects new town manager
The board of selectmen in Shrewsbury on Tuesday selected Kevin Mizikar as the next town manager.
Mizikar is currently the town administrator in Leicester, a position he took over in 2013, after serving as the Graton assistant town administrator for two years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously worked as a budget analyst for the U.S. Department of Energy from 2003-2005 and as the economic development director for the Mount Holly township in New Jersey from 2005-2010.
Mizikar was one of three finalists for the Shrewbury position, and his approval as town manager is pending a successful contract negotiation, which will begin Thursday.
Mizikar is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2001 and a master’s degree in public administration in 2003.
