Domitek, the Worcester information technology services provider, has moved its offices downtown.

The company moved to an office at 40 Southbridge St. that is about 1,000 square feet larger than its former headquarters at 400 Grove St about two miles north. It is expected to be fully operational and ready for the public by May 15. In a press release, Domitek founder and CEO Libis Bueno said he wanted Domitek to join the development going on downtown.

“With all the businesses moving downtown, it’s a perfect opportunity for Domitek to leverage its skills and technical expertise to help businesses with their IT and communication needs,” said Bueno.

The company plans to hire between eight and 10 new employees this year, depending on new contracts. Domitek will hold an open house, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony, on June 22 at 5 p.m. Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tim Murray will be there, as will Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus and Matt Wally, vice president of government and community affairs at UniBank.
