Framingham man gets 54 months for bank robbery

A Framingham man who robbed two banks last summer was sentenced to 54 months in prison Tuesday in federal court.

Jalonni Tucker, also known as Jalonni Shabazz, 36, also received three years of supervised release and $4,253 in restitution as part of his sentence.

Tucker was sentenced for two separate bank robberies, both in Framingham. The first, on June 21, took place at TD Bank, and the second happened at a Citizens Bank branch. Both times, surveillance cameras captured footage of the perpetrator driving away in a white/silver Chrysler SUV with distinctive chrome wheels. Law enforcement was able to connect the car to a Framingham resident who was married to Tucker.

He was arrested on July 15, 2016, and pleaded guilty to the two robberies in March of this year.
