Following new CEO, Hudson solar firm picks COO

New England Clean Energy, which announced a CEO change last week, on Wednesday announced it has named its first chief operating officer.
Evan Vana, who joined the company at the beginning of the year as director of supply chain, is now COO of the Hudson company. The new position was created in part to take advantage of Vana’s skills and 13 years of experience in operations-related fields, according to a release from the company.
Vana will oversee installation crews and work with the company’s supply chain partners to bring the best possible solar products and services to customers.
A graduate of the University of Vermont, Vana held senior positions at companies like Burton Snowboards, The Vermont Teddy Bear Co., PajamaGram, LightWedge, and Force Factor. He is originally from northern Vermont, but currently lives in Maynard.
Last week, New England Clean Energy announced Doug McCartney was named its next CEO to help the company transition into a new phase of the solar industry.
