Heywood CIO among best in USA

Heywood Healthcare’s Carol Roosa was singled out as a top chief information officer in the country by Becker’s Hospital Review’s inaugural “100 Community Hospital CIOs to Know” list in July.
Roosa, who is vice president of ancillary services as well as CIO for the Gardener-based hospital system, has worked in the information technology field for 30 years and is charged with establishing and executing Heywood’s IT strategy, Heywood said in a statement Wednesday.
According to Becker’s, Roosa and others featured on the list were recognized “for the outstanding recognitions they've earned and exciting new projects they're piloting.”
Roosa, the only CIO from Massachusetts to make the list, previously served as CIO at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, N.H. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
