Stratton Hill Park apartments sold for $16.5M

Grant Welker The apartments at Stratton Hill Park have been sold for $16.5 million.

Stratton Hill Park, a 156-unit apartment complex off Mountain Road in Worcester, has been sold for $16.5 million.

Beacon Communities in Boston bought the property from another Massachusetts residential complex firm, Corcoran Management Co. of Braintree.

Property records show the property was sold to BC Stratton Hill LLC by Stratton Hill Associates.

An assistant property manager at Stratton Hill Park, Violet Caraballo, said Wednesday that Beacon Communities is planning apartment renovations and the addition of eight handicapped-accessible units.

Beacon Communities oversees complexes in 10 states and the District of Columbia. That includes the Royal Worcester apartments, Whittier Terrace in Worcester, Edmands House in Framingham, and the Littlebrook Apartment Homes in Hudson.

Beacon announced Aug. 1 it closed on the sale for Stratton Hill Park.

Corcoran manages properties in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, including Shrewsbury Commons in Shrewsbury and Pelham Apartments in Framingham.
