A 96-unit apartment building just south of Becker College in Worcester has sold for $9.7 million.

The 10-story building at 11 Sever St., known as Fruit Sever Apartments, was built in 1965 and was last assessed by the city at $4.6 million.

The sale closed on Nov. 27.

The building was sold for $9,727,982 by TCB Sever Street LLC to Sever St. Development LLC. TCB Sever Street bought the site in 2016 for $8.7 million, according to city records.

The sale was the second seven-figure residential property sale to close in November in Worcester. A 36-unit apartment development in Worcester's Quinsigamond Village neighborhood sold for $6.9 million.

A sale of a commercial building at 285 Main St. in downtown Worcester also closed last month. That building, which houses the restaurants deadhorse hill and Rice Violet, the salon Friendly Nails, and offices, was bought by Worcester Railers owner Cliff Rucker for nearly $2.7 million.
