Former Worcester pickle factory sold for $425K

New England Food, Paper & Poultry, based in Providence, will move to Worcester after purchasing the former Regal Pickle Factory at 41 Mason St. for $425,000, according to land records and real estate brokers Kelleher & Sadowsky.

Regal Crown Food, which operated the factory, left the city last month and consolidated its operations in New Jersey, according to Kelleher & Sadowsky and an employee who answered a call to the Regal headquarters.

According to the Rhode Island Department of State, New England Food, Paper & Poultry is based at 2 Amherst Road in Providence. With the pickle factory purchase, the company will move to Worcester, according to Kelleher & Sadowsky.

A call to the company’s Providence location was not answered.
